My primary responsibilities are to lead the congregation in Spirit filled worship, develop leaders, and cultivate the arts within the community. I also help the church with its missional focus - bringing the good news of Jesus near and far and biblical justice and compassion for the poor and oppressed.
Who is your favorite character in the Bible?
King David, the warrior/poet/leader/lover/saint/scoundrel.
What makes you cry?
The world wide sex slave trade.
How many kids do you have?
Three kids, Julian Marcellus - 2002, Brennan Amadeus - 2004, and Giselle Avon Lea - 2006.
What kind of music do you listen to most?
I know it is odd, but Johann Sebastian Bach is my homey.
If you had to boil it down to one favorite thing about your spouse what would it be?
Her animated character which can include a radiant smile, passionate inflection, and expressive body language.
